We talked about eloping, but decided that we would probably never have as good an excuse to get together with so many of our favorite people. So a big part of the reason we're having this wedding is to see you. We hope hope you can come. We also appreciate that many of you will come a long way to spend this day with us, so here is some information to help you. We look forward to seeing you and celebrating with you.

The ceremony and reception will be on August 19, 2006 at Abundant Life Community Church in Alton IL.

We don't want you to get lost on the way there, so you can look at the map on the right for directions. Use your mouse to drag the mouse around and click on the little "pushpins" to get driving directions. Or, if you prefer, check out MapQuest or Yahoo Maps for directions.

If you want to fly to the wedding, you can fly into Lambert - St. Louis International Airport (STL). It takes about 45 minutes to drive from the airport to Godfrey/Alton.

There aren't a lot of places to stay in Alton/Godfrey, but we have talked to a couple of nearby hotels to give you the hook-up.
One option is to stay at the Holiday Inn. For $99 you get hot breakfast and a free shuttle ride from the airport (and the room of course). You can reserve on the internet or by phone (618 462 1220). You could also try the Super 8. You can call them at 618 465 8885 to book a room. Or maybe the Confort Inn is more your speed. Book at 618 465 9999, or on the internet.

There are lots of things to do and see nearby, so when you aren't at the wedding, you could visit Alton or you could explore St. Loius, which is just across the Mississippi river.

If you want to include gift-giving in your wedding festivities, we are currently registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond and REI and Macy's (We registered at Macy's because it recently bought Filene's and Famous-Barr. So this registry should work at Filenes and Famous Barr). We may update the registry or register at other stores later if we need to. You can view the registries on the internet by clicking on the names of the stores above, or you can go to the actual store and a friendly clerk there will give you a copy of the registry. If you need to send anything, it'll probably be best to send it to Neal's address in Massachusetts.
